SHINCHEONJI – On February 28th, Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, San Francisco Branch hosted its second Revelation Bible exam, where many pastors and religious leaders from the Bay Area (San Martin, Oakland, Berkeley) and online in Ohio participated this special event! This event is part of an ongoing initiative aimed at strengthening scriptural understanding and fostering open dialogue among diverse faith communities in the Bay Area.

Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, emphasizes on studying the Bible in a structured and comparative way, using the method of prophecy and fulfillment. After a brief introduction to Shincheonji, Church of Jesus and the Revelation Bible exam, the pastors and congregation members of Shincheonji were given 1 hour to complete the exam. The purpose of this exam is not to simply test one’s intelligence of God’s word nor is it to be taken as a competition, but is about reflecting on oneself: How well do I really understand the book of Revelation? What topics am I uncertain about and how can I grow from this?
To conclude the exam, the participants were able to have an open dialogue to debrief on their thoughts on the exam, and opportunities were shared with pastors and the religious leaders who were interested in deepening their understanding of the book of Revelation.
Pastor W reflects on her experience participating in the exam and attending the event by stating “For me and my congregation, we have studied the book of Revelation and it took us over a year. We went from chapter one to chapter twenty-two. In my way of teaching, I broke it down and gave cross references related from the Old to the New Testament. To come today and really look at the questions and hear everything, it was mind blowing! When you think you know, you really don’t know; it was eye opening for me. I appreciate the opportunity of being here,…what I thought I knew, I really don’t know.”
