SHINCHEONJI — On November 29, Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, San Francisco Church Branch hosted a community cleanup drive at San Jose City Hall. As part of the church’s ongoing efforts to support and uplift the community, this initiative focused on beautifying the surrounding residential areas and ensuring that one of San Jose’s most beloved civic landmarks continues to shine. Approximately 50 dedicated church members volunteered their time and energy over the holiday weekend, working together to pick up litter, sweep walkways, remove debris, and help restore cleanliness to the streets near and around City Hall.
Participants included newly graduated students from the church’s theology course as well as long-standing members, all sharing the same heart and mission of contributing positively to their neighborhoods. Many volunteers expressed that serving the community is a meaningful way to put their faith into action and to show appreciation for the city they live in. Their goal was not only to improve the physical environment, but also to foster a sense of unity and care among local residents.
This cleanup drive is just one of many community-focused initiatives planned by Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, San Francisco Branch as 2025 comes to a close and the new year approaches. As the holiday season reaches its peak, the church is seeking additional ways to give back—whether through acts of service, supporting those in need, or participating in city improvement projects. Alongside volunteer efforts, the church continues to offer free Bible studies and educational programs to anyone interested in deepening their understanding of God’s Word. Through these combined efforts, the church hopes to be a source of encouragement, cleanliness, and compassion within the Bay Area community.
